Juan "Johnny" Quiroz
Partner
Johnny started as an Agent with New York Life in 2015 and has achieved many successes during his tenure. He has been a 6-time consecutive Council qualifier, while also earning the Career Life Success Award, the Career Life Producer Award, the Career Life Achiever Award, and the Life Foundation Award. In 2017 he was awarded the South Central Zone Eagle Award, which recognizes some of New York Life’s most successful Agents. Johnny has also qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table. He was most recently promoted to Associate Partner in October 2022.
Before New York Life, Johnny spent 25 years in the manufacturing industry. He also owned and operated two Ward’s Restaurants in Hattiesburg, MS and Tylertown, MS. Originally, Johnny is from Pearsall, TX - a small town south of San Antonio. He and his family moved to Lumberton MS, where he now resides with his wife, Dana. He enjoys golf, playing drums, and spending quality time with his wife. They have two daughters, Holli and Lacee, and one grandson, Cash.
Kim Hobkirk
Sales Development Manager
Kim began her New York Life career in 2014. Before her promotion into management, Kim achieved Executive Council in 2015 and 2016. She is also a recipient of the Career Life Success Award and a Registered Representative. Kim was born and raised in Brandon, MS. She graduated from the University Medical Center and spent 9 years in the medical field prior to joining New York Life. Kim enjoys travel, shopping and spending quality time with family and friends. She and her husband, Chris, reside in Brandon. They are the parents to 2 children, son Decker and daughter Julia Kate.
TJ Barrett, FMLI
Administrative Manager
Before joining the Mississippi team in 2017, TJ began his career with New York Life in 2012 in the Greater Atlanta General Office. He trained in the Orlando and Tampa offices as an Associate Administrative Manager, then accepted the position as Administrative Manager in the Cincinnati General Office in 2013. His teams have been recognized with the "Best in Class" award, presented to office teams who finish at the top of their respective Zones in both customer service and operations excellence. His contracting teams have also been presented with the Recruiting Recognition Award. He currently manages the staff at the Mississippi General Office in Ridgeland, MS. TJ is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance. He holds several designations including his FLMI, and is a FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional. TJ and his wife Rebecca have two wonderful boys, James and Jonathan. TJ enjoys the outdoors, sports, and spending time with family.
